Johan Jooste Wildlife Photos - Windhoek, Namibia
I started with photography way back in 1984 when I joined a local camera club in Windhoek, Namibia. I progressed through the ranks and achieved my Associateship colours from the Photographic Society of Southern Africa in 1992. Since digital cameras came on the market, my photography has grown tremendously. Today I work as a professional freelance photographer in Windhoek, consisting of various fields like corporate and event photography, wedding photography, tourism-related as well as conducting my own photography workshops.
My work has appeared in magazines, adverts and billboards in Namibia. I also maintain my own website where potential customers can contact me and I am on social media as well. The photography genre I enjoy and love most is Nature photography and that is twofold for me. Firstly to just sit quietly and listen to the sounds of nature and secondly, the challenge that comes with the unexpected sudden movements of animals and birds is what makes the adrenalin pump.
